An investment services firm in New York City is looking to add a new Accounts Payable Specialist to their Finance team. In this role, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and service providers.
Responsibilities :
The Accounts Payable Specialist will :
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and authorization
- Review invoices for discrepancies and resolve any billing issues with vendors
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances or discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files, including W-9 forms and vendor contracts
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve purchase order discrepancies and ensure timely invoice processing
- Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and / or a related field
- Experience with basic Accounting functions
- Microsoft Excel proficient
Desired Skills :
- Experience in a Family Office and / or Financial Services role / setting
