Usability and 508 Compliance Test Engineer

Description & Requirements Effectively executes against the established test approach through the creation, review, execution of compliance test cases as well as the discovery of design flaws impacting HIPAA, SOX, and 508 Legislation in support of establishing a quality software that adheres to user privacy, usability, and accessibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : - Create and prepare test scenarios and test cases. - Prepare test data needed to execute test cases.

  • Prepare test environment and provisioning requirements to execute the test cases. - Execute test cases and analyze results in order to identify potential defects.
  • Assess impact and escalate risks / issues to appropriate teams / resources to ensure timely resolution. - Perform Back testing, including interfaces, database, webservice.
  • Collaborate with System Integration Test team regarding test scenario development and defect identification. - Ensure fixes to defects found are retested comprehensively.
  • Contribute / Maintain the test script library by reviewing existing scripts and develop new test cases and participate in preparation of test plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. Project Specific Responsibilities : - Participation in the creation of formal Test Strategies / Approach - Authoring of re-usable quality Compliance Test Cases against 508, HIPAA, and SOX legislation - Ability to perform test case execution within the designated velocity and timeline - Find Define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions, and drive mitigating actions - Be a prominent contributor within the defect triage / mitigation process - Ability to mitigate problems with both business and technical orientated staff - Technical aptitude to lean, script, execute automated solutions - Understanding of Accessibility automation frameworks (JAWs, Browser Stack, etc.

Identify and approach problem and draw valid solutions to mitigate - Perform database queries, analyze code, interact with technical resources - Perform accessibility testing against - Assess quality stability, consult on next steps with both technical and business teams - Guardian of the overall validation process to ensure that quality results are accurately captured - Ability to present facts and figures to get to a logical conclusion Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.

Project Specific Requirements : - Excellent verbal and communication skills (ability to present the facts) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with work experience - Three - Five years' experience as a Test Engineer - Database, Query, API, Java knowledge a plus - Knowledge of JIRA, Test Management Tools, Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin - Fundamental knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Iterative Development) - Fundamental knowledge of Test-Driven Development and / or Behavioral Driven Development - Fundamental knowledge of healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus - Deep knowledge of Usability and Accessibility legislation and testing methods - As per client specifications, applicants must be U.

Pay Transparency Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

Annual Base Pay Minimum for this Position $ 85,000.00 Annual Base Pay Maximum for this Position $ 100,000.00 *
