About the job : -
The Warehouse Manager will report to and work closely with the Operations Manager and others in the organization in managing the warehouse functions and supporting inventory control for our small locally owned wholesale distribution company.
Responsibilities : -
Oversee and perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts and finished goods.
Manage warehouse associates, directing daily priorities and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
Manage employee performance including but not limited to attendance, vacation, employee separations, annual review, merit process, and documentation.
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
Maintain related clerical records and utilize company software system for receiving, counting, order processing and production of finished goods.
Manage all product-related quality tasks (calibration, checking, rebranding, correcting, repairing, etc.) as directed by management
Lead efforts in inventory control, cycle counts, inventory adjustments in company software system.
Schedule pickup / delivery of company products to and from vendors as needed.
Manage all facility / vehicle / eqpt -related tasks (preventive maintenance, repairs, seasonal work, etc.)
Qualifications : -
Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate, and manage conflict
Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
Exceptional time management and organization skills
Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics
Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
Ability to obtain a forklift operator certification depending on business needs
High school diploma (or GED) required. Additional education recommended.
Inventory / warehouse experience, preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
Current, valid driver's license
Schedule : Day shift (Monday-Friday)
