Cherry Picker Operator

Aerotek is currently hiring for a Cherry Picker Operator!

Manage physical daily cycle counts as well as research and correct inventory-related variances, while providing accurate data and reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager using Eclipse and Excel.

Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving inventory control. Identify barriers to performance and assist the manager in identifying / analyzing root cause and effect and develop action plans to resolve.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical daily cycle counts.
• Research and correct inventory-related variances.
• Provide accurate data and reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager.
• Use Eclipse and Excel for inventory management.
• Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies in inventory control.
• Identify barriers to performance and assist in identifying and analyzing root cause and effect.
• Develop action plans to resolve identified issues.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in inventory control.
• Experience in a large distribution environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience performing cycle counts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work from 5 am until the finish of the shift.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very large, fast-paced warehouse spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors.

The warehouse is clean and organized, separated by racks and a wire room section. Employees are required to maintain the cleanliness and organization of their workspaces.

This role specifically involves working in the large pick segment of the warehouse, which features floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
