Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Innovation, this Innovation Business Manager develops and supports MaineHealth Innovation Center’s team and business development.
To advance health systems innovation strategic goals, we are seeking a healthcare leader with a successful track record of delivering innovative strategic solutions, a data and analytical skill set to identify opportunities for expansion and development, and experience advancing novel devices and technology inventions.
The Innovation Business Manager is a dynamic, hands-on, and fun person with project management and team leadership skills.
MaineHealth Innovation was founded to foster a culture of innovation, commit resources to incubation and develop pathways for acceleration.
The three pillars of MaineHealth Innovation are to educate, connect, and fund. With an understanding of the innovation ecosystem and healthcare marketplace, the Innovation Business Manager will work closely with care team members across the system to shepherd novel care models and technologies.
This leader provides meeting facilitation and reporting across the spectrum of Innovation work. This position will not only strengthen MaineHealth’s reputation as a thought leader in healthcare but will also create novel and better ways to care for care team members, patients and communities, and advance profitable concepts to market.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Administrative, Public Health, Public Policy or related field is strongly preferred;
- License / Certifications : N / A Experience : 5+ years of experience in healthcare field preferred. 3+ years of management experience preferred;
- Knowledge of healthcare industry, health policy and innovation;
- Team player who thrives on collaboration and productive professional relationships, communicates effectively and handles conflict with maturity;
- Comfortable leading multi-stakeholder groups consisting of senior administrators, clinical leaders and external business professionals to advance organization change initiatives;
- Capacity to lead or conduct multiple projects at once, with responsibility for complete spectrum of required activities or in collaboration with others;
- Outstanding capability to prepare and deliver oral, written, quantitative, or graphical reports for executive level audiences;
- Strong ability to distill critical points of information and patterns from large quantities of information.
