Our client, an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of pre-engineered premium steel products, is hiring a driven and self-motivated Relationship Sales Manager with demonstrated success in metals to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will bring technical sales aptitude balanced with charisma and the natural ability to connect, creating wins for the team, the customer, and the company.

Reporting to the Director of Building Sales, the RSM will champion new and existing clients in the Northwest while implementing winning sales strategies, achieving sales goals, and steering client relationships that drive results.

Day-to-Day as Relationship Sales Manager :

  • Traveling a minimum of 3 days per week, you will manage your designated territory to nurture relationships and provide building solutions to customers.
  • Drive all phases of the sales and marketing process : lead generation lead management, content development, marketing efforts, pre-order, post order, service, and maintenance of accounts.
  • Define and provide building definition for estimating, contracting, engineering, cost, and construction functions related to the completion of the project.
  • Negotiate, prepare, issue, and execute the quote / contract, provide information relevant to stakeholders, and prepare revisions to the original budget because of changes and revisions to work.
  • Build relationships with architects and engineers to position the company as the PEMB provider on specified projects.
  • Perform minimum agreed-upon Proactive Engaged Appointments and Proactive Outreach Efforts such as phone calls, e-mails, and other prospecting activities.
  • Conduct daily CRM reporting and track sales program execution in ZenDesk.
  • Foster collaboration with the team and customer in processing contracts, approval drawings, color charts, and other activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, existing products
  • Continuously expand and share professional knowledge through educational, networking, and sales development workshops.

What You Bring :

  • 2+ years of proven sales success and account management in metal or design. Pre-engineered building or structural steel and an existing book of business are a huge plus!
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, spanning face-to-face visits, phone and virtual meetings, email exchanges, and all other forms of business interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a team environment and produce results.
  • Tech-savvy proficiency with MS Office and CRM software applications.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region including overnight stays minimum 3 days in the field.
