    We are seeking a dynamic Head of Corporate Accounting to join our team and lead the management company accounting function.

    A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of full-cycle accounting, a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

    The Head of Corporate Accounting is responsible for the day-to-day finance functions of two corporate entities while assisting the Group Director of Finance (Group DOF) with ad hoc requests from owners, lenders and other key stakeholders.

    As our corporate financials roll up into a publicly traded company, (NYSE : SHCO), comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and public reporting requirements are a must.

    The person having this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflict, and have a thorough understanding of LINE, Ned and Saguaro policies, procedures, and expectations.

    Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each

    employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you.

    Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

    Key responsibilities :

    • Prepare, review and analyze consolidated monthly reporting and prepare budget / forecast variance analyses for Managing Director and Group DOF.
    • Prepare annual consolidated budget and monthly re-forecast for corporate entities
    • Prepare and process payroll for both corporate entities on a bi-weekly basis
    • Develop, maintain, and enforce internal controls
    • Prepare weekly cash flow for corporate entities
    • Maintain all corporate contracts and licenses
    • Fully responsible and acts as a liaison with external auditors
    • Responsible for recruitment and selection of direct reports
    • Assist hotel finance directors and controllers with balance sheet items and intercompany reconciliations
    • Effectively manage multiple entities, including interbranch accounting and related party transactions
    • Assist with property quarterly balance sheet reviews
    • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger for two corporate entities while offering recommendations to enhance business operations, efficiency and financial controls
    • Directly supervise daily activities of Corporate Controller and Corporate Staff Accountant
    • Ensure that accounting activities are in compliance with GAAP
    • Assist Group DOF with annual insurance renewal process
    • Create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues
    • Create policies and procedures to make the month-end close process more efficient and accurate
    • Review and approve all weekly AP invoices for processing
    • Manage annual workers comp and 401k audit processes for corporate and hotel entities
    • Assist Group DOF and external tax partners on multiple entity returns and deliverables

    Knowledge, Requirements and Skills

    1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience at controller or similar level is required

    2. Experience in hotel related accounting is highly preferred

    3. High School graduate or equivalent required

    4. Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant field preferable; additional education in finance a plus.

    5. Must have experience analyzing financial information, budgeting, forecasting and managing a small team

    6. Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger reconciliations

    7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to successfully work with various departments and disciplines

    8. Extremely detail oriented, efficient, analytical and ability to multitask

    9. Strong interpersonal abilities with a keen understanding of process improvement, from identification of the roadblock to final solution implementation

    10. Ability to think critically and work independently

    11. Work well under pressure with ability to prioritize key tasks and pivot as required

    12. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language

    13. Ability to handle data with confidentiality

    Working Conditions / Environment

    1. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

    2. The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 20lbs on an occasional basis

    3. The person having this position may have to sit for eight (8) hours, stand and / or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for three (8) hours per day
