Investment Relationship Manager
The Role
The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the Intermediary Investment Client Group (IICG) is seeking an Investment Relationship Manager (IRM) for coverage of alternative analyst and product teams at leading wealth management and financial institutions.
This role will also include developing enterprise relationships with a subset of clients. The IRM will work in conjunction with other Relationship Managers where they will be tasked with developing deeper relationships at strategic accounts with a specific focus on the approval and support of our various alternative offerings.
In addition to alternatives expertise, the IRM should possess a strong knowledge of all investment asset classes as well as an understanding of ETFs, SMAs and model portfolios.
The IRM will be the primary interface to a specific group of analysts and product teams at several strategic clients. They will clearly articulate Fidelity’s capabilities across specific alternative investment vehicles and asset classes.
The IRM will work closely with Enterprise RMs and Key Account Managers on a subset of strategic accounts. A successful IRM should generate consistent positive qualitative feedback from these investment analysts and product teams at strategic firms.
Expectations are that this role will contribute to IICG’s focus on both organic growth and market share increases at targeted firms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Partnering with Lead Investment RMs at Strategic Firms to cover selected asset class and alternative product teams
- Asset Class expertise positioning various thought leadership and investment product topics
- Thrive in a team environment of strong investment professionals within the Relationship Manager Team
- Detailed project management skills aimed at developing investment opportunities including but not limited to RFPs and project planning
- Relationship Management skills that enable clients to navigate the Fidelity organization
- Establish credibility with clients as an investment expert across asset classes, and the associated alternatives market
- Demonstrate strong investment competence and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with both external clients (Analyst, Global Strategist, Investment Boards, etc.) as well as internal clients across asset management and distribution
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of portfolio construction and platform solutions (Advisory & Brokerage) at leading wealth management firms
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- CFA or CIMA preferred.
- 5+ years investment management experience
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required
