The Family Services Director is responsible for developing, administering, and supervising all facets of Day Camps, Holiday and Schools Out Programming, Afterschool Program, Family Programming, and Enrichment Programming to meet and / or exceed family center goals.
This includes developing and monitoring the annual budgets of these programs and departments to ensure fiscal compliance.
In addition, this position is responsible for the following duties :

Essential Functions / Job Duties :
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program volunteers and staff as they relate to program activities.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate department budgets to meet and / or exceed family center revenue and enrollment goals.
- Conduct seasonal programmatic quality evaluations of all YMCA programs.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with local public and private schools and other collaborative agencies and professional service organizations.
- Implement reviews and revise all aspects of the program relative to quality, character development, and satisfaction from sign-up and enrollment to the assessment of program delivery.
- Manage the delivery of related programs to exceed YMCA standards and program objectives to include Character Building whenever possible.
- Serve as a member of the Family Center Senior Leadership Team by providing leadership and support for the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees as assigned.
- Meet all assigned program enrollment and quality benchmarks by marketing and promoting.
- Ensure all youth and family programming support HEPA (Healthy Eating and Physical Activities) guidelines.
- Ensure that Risk Management and emergency procedures are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities :
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience with summer camps, teens, program administration.
- Experience working with budgets, developing a budget, fiscal management of programs, and fundraising.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound fiscal management practices, strong organizational abilities, and problem-solving strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership through experiences in supervision, community collaboration, and innovation.
- Ability to adequately observe program activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Current state-approved First Aid / CPR certified.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, a plus.
- Must have transportation to travel within the County.
