At E&E Construction, we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and excellence in construction and project management.
E&E performs operations and maintenance (O&M) and manages remedial activities for an inactive hazardous waste management facility.
Current activities include remedy construction for the final closure of the 252-acre facility, including cap installation, well installations, pond water management, stormwater control, wetlands habitat development, and facility construction and installation.
We are looking for a qualified individual to provide full-time on-site support to the construction management team in executing the multi-year Remedial Action work plan for final remedy closure.
Active construction months are approximately March through October. During the remaining months, the successful candidate will support the O&M team by assisting with facility operations, coordinating with site personnel, managing documentation, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and providing direct support to the site’s Project Manager.
Objectives
- To provide full-time, on-site support to the Construction Manager during active construction months
- To support O&M tasks and facility management during non-construction months
Responsibilities Construction Management
- Development, revision & submittal of the Annual Construction Workplan each year
- Assist in the development of the facility Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
- Maintain accurate project documentation records, including daily reports, safety inspections, and material deliveries.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions regarding project progress and challenges.
- Develop construction progress summary reports, including schedule and cost variance.
- Assist in facility ambient air monitoring program and air monitoring reports
- Assist with project completion as-builts and compilation of construction records
Responsibilities O&M
- Assist project managers and site supervisors with daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules and deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and implement health and safety plans and job safety analysis
- Manage work crews and project teams during site maintenance
- Develop purchase orders and track subcontractor / vendor costs
- Provide Quality Assurance / Quality Control on work projects and deliverables
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in construction management or civil engineering plus 3 years of experience in the management of heavy civil construction and earthwork;
OR 10 years in construction management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus but not mandatory.
- 40-hr Hazwoper and Cal-OSHA training will be required.
