Overview

Inotiv is looking for a knowledgeable and collaborative IT Specialist, Scientific Systems to provide implementation and support for scientific technologies and data collection systems within the Scientific IT space.

This senior position will be responsible for the implementation and support of systems that typically have high visibility and impact and are core to the businesses operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for those with a science background / degree that have a strong interest in IT.

Responsibilities

Manages the day-to-day operations and support of scientific applications including, but not limited to :

  • Provantis and associated modules
  • Electronic Reporting
  • LIMS and ELN Systems
  • Performs system administration, support, and maintenance activities for scientific applications

Assists with projects relating to laboratory software implementation, upgrades, and support

  • Communicate and apply project standards as per the SDLC and assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Participates on project teams as technical subject matter expert for key projects
  • Works with end users and / or business capability managers to understand, verify and develop requirements for laboratory systems or enhancements
  • Interprets business goals and requirements and devises technical solutions
  • Acts as a liaison between the business and IT service providers in order to coordinate enhancements, provide integration, and resolve issues
  • Partner with the business to develop the relevant testing strategy and subsequent test scripts
  • Partner with the business to develop the training plan and subsequent development of training materials.
  • Participate in requirements gathering meetings.
  • Document requirements, specifications, business processes for system change controls.
  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services to customers and manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Assist in the facilitation of effective team and customer meetings and interactions.
  • Lead internal teams / task forces as needed.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of related education and equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience managing or implementation of systems
  • Ideally a good working knowledge of GXP Validations

Skills and Abilities

  • Good understanding of Bio-Sciences and IT Systems
  • Ability to motivate and manage by influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented
  • Good facilitation skills
  • Computer System Validation experience a plus
  • This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and / or years of experience.

The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and / or education level.

This is an exempt role with a salary band of $80,1000- $96,200.
