Kado no Mise and Kaiseki Furukawa - Located in Minneapolis, MN
Founded in 2017, Kado no Mise and Kaiseki Furukawa are extremely elegant, purposeful culinary experiences which are bound to traditions that are 100 years old and 500 years old respectively.
Our mission, led by Chef Shigeyuki Furukawa, is to convey the purity of Japanese cuisine and culture. Kado no Mise offers only an Omakase experience, and Kaiseki Furukawa is a highly traditional Kaiseki dining experience, tied to the same seasonal and cultural observance found in Kyoto.
Kaiseki is only presented once a week for 10 guests per seating, two seatings per night.

Trained in esteemed Kaiseki restaurants in his hometown of Tokyo and then Kyoto, Chef Shigeyuki Furukawa, is this US region’s leading chef for Edomae omakase and traditional Kaiseki.
Among a host of other local and national accolades, Shigeyuki was recently appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the Promotion of Japanese Food and Culture by Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
Sushi Chef Opening
We seek applicants who share his passion for introducing the beauty of Japanese cuisine to new audiences, embodying Omotenashi, and treating every guest interaction as a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
As a sushi chef, you will uphold the vision of Kado no Mise and Kaiseki Furukawa through meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to guest experience.
Your responsibilities will include butchering fish, preparing rice, plating sashimi and nigiri, and engaging positively with both colleagues and guests.

Required Qualifications :
- Proven experience in fish butchery
- Advanced / high proficiency in sashimi and nigiri preparation (American roll skills not necessary)
- Skill in sushi bar operations
- Alignment with our core values
- Some proficiency in Japanese language (fluency would be great but not required)
