The first three months are fulltime in the office.
The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the Company’s data analytics as related to ESRI GIS system associated with the Company’s electrical system.
Individual will perform complex data analysis using ArcGIS and related extensions / add-ons, relational databases, and other computer software;
understands and can apply the capabilities of GIS, databases, and other computer programs to solve complex spatial and relational problems.
In this position you will be focused on conducting data analysis and preparation of documents, data reports, GIS dashboards, and maps.
Individual will also leverage Eversource data (GIS, Work Management, NMS, etc.) with non-Eversource data (Environmental Justice Data, Distressed Communities, Environmental Impact, Capacity Studies) for complex analytics.
Essential Functions :
Work with members of the team and department to define problems and clarify objectives; determines spatial data needs and assists in designing collection tools and reports.
Evaluates spatial and non-spatial data and reports to assess if reporting meets end user requirements.
Conducts data analysis and preparation of documents, data reports, GIS dashboards, and maps.
Review, analyze and consolidate data from multiple disparate sources including usage of FME, SQL, Python, and REST.
Communicates complex technical issues both verbally and in writing to non-technical GIS users.
Provide support for the data maintenance and data quality effort.
Support internal and external tracking and reporting requirements associated with GIS data and electric distribution / transmission, including reporting of metrics related to the achievement of project benefits.
Planning, organizing, decision-making and time management, including the ability to appropriately prioritize assignments.
Systematically identify and analyze the important dimensions of a problem, determining potential causes, obtaining relevant information, and specifying alternate solutions, then carrying out solutions or referring to the appropriate authority.
Will be required to support Emergency Restoration efforts throughout the Eversource service territory.
Technical Knowledge / Skill / Education / Licenses / Certifications :
Technical Knowledge / Skill :
Extensive knowledge of hands-on experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Model Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Insights, Portal, StoryMaps, Power Bi and other online mapping solutions or current equivalent.
demonstrated competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
Strong demonstrated knowledge with FME, SQL, Python, and REST.
Education :
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field (MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred)
Certification as a GIS Professional (GISP) preferred.
Experience
Three to five years of experience with ESRI; experience in spatial and relational data analysis, data management, analytical modeling, statistics, and mobile opportunities (e.
g., remote sensing, GPS, etc.) within the electrical utility industry.

Theannualsalary range for this positionis$83,000 to$93,000, plus incentive.
