CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will work in a team environment, safely operating complex production equipment, manufacturing software, and tools.
You will follow digital work instructions, blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met.
Additionally, you will be responsible for equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustained production.
Responsibilities
- Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production / processing operation.
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production / process specifications.
- Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
- Set up and operate a wide range of machine tools, such as mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses on various products involving difficult operations, aerospace tolerances, and complex shapes.
- Align and secure tooling, holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
- Set up and modify programs for Robot and / or Vision Systems and write product-specific robot programs by material master.
- Modify programs in response to problems and adjust programs in PLC to manipulate parts to specification.
- Work from and read blueprints and set and check work to various quality control gauges.
- Troubleshoot, determine causes of operating errors, and decide what to do about them.
- Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
- Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries, and communications accurately and timely.
- Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Essential Skills
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in machine operation, including the use of mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses.
- Experience running CNC machines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to determine causes of operating errors and decide on corrective actions.
- Ability to set up and modify programs for Robot and / or Vision Systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and sustained production.
- Ability to work with digital work instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong communication skills for exchanging technical information with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel.
- Experience in quality control and in-process production testing.

Work Environment
This position operates in a non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment. The role involves working with complex machinery and requires adherence to strict safety procedures.
Dress code and safety gear requirements will be communicated as part of the onboarding process.
