Overview
This Inventory Clerk will be responsible for purchasing equipment, supplies, and performing kitting duties for the manufacturing shop floor.
Responsibilities include procuring materials based on prints and specifications, with experience in a machine shop / manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP systems being a plus.
Hourly Pay : $23-$30 / hr (depending on experience)
Job Responsibilities :
- Strategically procure equipment and supplies essential for our manufacturing shop floor operations.
- Leverage your expertise in interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate closely with machine builders on the shop floor, providing timely kitting support to facilitate efficient production processes.
- Utilize your computer proficiency and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline procurement workflows.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels and anticipate future needs, ensuring a seamless supply of materials.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and maintaining open lines of communication.
Requirements :
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using ERP systems (experience with Global Shop is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely procurement processes.
- While a formal degree is not required, relevant internship experience or exposure to manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
