A prestigious law firm based in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a seasoned Senior Criminal Defense Attorney. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced attorney to expand their career within a fast-growing legal practice.
The role involves managing a full caseload, working closely with clients, and collaborating with a skilled legal team to ensure exceptional defense representation.
Duties
- Provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and case matters, drafting related legal documents.
- Represent clients at pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice after each session.
- Oversee court appearances, trials, motion drafting, and witness interviews while conducting legal research.
- Analyze case outcomes by leveraging knowledge of legal precedents.
- Manage and prioritize a substantial caseload effectively.
- Offer comprehensive legal analysis to clients, evaluating potential case advantages.
- Gather and present additional evidence to support the client's defense or counter the prosecution’s charges.
- Prepare clients for depositions, determine key case objectives, and gather testimony from witnesses and expert sources to strengthen the case.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
- Proven experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
- Strong collaboration skills, willing to strategize and assist colleagues.
- Must be bilingual, and fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities, fostering strong client and team relationships.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar membership in Nevada, in good standing.
Certifications
Admission to practice law in Nevada.
