STV is seeking a Transportation Project Manager for exciting projects in our Chicago office. Primary focus of this role is on project delivery and management for technical staff for assigned projects.

In this role, the individual is expected to lead the technical aspects for transportation improvement projects, including plans, specifications, calculations, exhibits, forms, and reports that meet clients’ expectations.

The individual will also track project schedule to meet client and internal deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within one (1) year; PE licenses in other states is a plus
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with highway design
  • Experience with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway, City of Chicago, and municipalities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microstation, GeoPak, and OpenRoads
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Essential Functions

  • Lead and Manage transportation improvement projects, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technical engineering staff ranging from entry to senior level
  • Assist and execute technical tasks including developing technical reports, plans, specifications, supporting calculations, and client required forms
  • Ability to meet with client and associated stakeholders and perform site visits in the field as necessary
  • Develop or oversee development of technical reports, calculations, memos, and forms related to a specific transportation subject matter (i.

e. geometrics, drainage, traffic studies, bicycle paths, etc.)

  • Coordinate with outside consultants (sub or prime) regarding project specific tasks, schedule, progress and reviews
  • Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, including Microstation, GeoPak, and / or OpenRoads, to produce plans, details, alternatives, and exhibits for transportation improvement projects
  • Willingness and ability to lead or assist in the development of design templates to streamline plan production and improve quality across the team
  • Assist with development of project scope, budget, schedule, and cost estimates
  • Work alongside other Project Managers and Group Leads to plan resources and coordinate internal workshare
  • Assist in developing capture and win plans, proposals, and other business development activities
  • Attend industry workshops, seminars, trainings, and conferences

Compensation Range :

$126,513.00 - $168,684.00
