Summary :

Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation in critical structural areas, including blind holes for new components.

Responsibilities also include sealing, painting, and preserving structures per standard repair processes.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications for structural modifications / repairs.

Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level structural modifications.

Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components; perform sheet metal and structural repairs.

Access and manage data using computer systems for work instructions and parts requests.

Operate aircraft-specific tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).

Provide guidance to lower-level technicians during aircraft maintenance / modification tasks.

Required Skills :

4+ years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.

Experience with VIP or specialty aircraft interiors installations in the last 10 years.

Knowledge of aircraft repair procedures, structural modifications, and aircraft-specific tools.

Proficient with technical publications, schematics, and computer systems.

Ability to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (dual citizenship may preclude access).

Additional Requirements :

Able to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physically able to ascend / descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Use protective gear and pass visual acuity / color perception tests.

Ability to work on elevated platforms and balance on ladders.

Desired Skills :

FAA certification in Airframe and / or Powerplant license preferred.
