We are looking for a talented and experienced Freelance Swimwear Designer to join our team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in swimwear design, with excellent sketching skills, proficiency in Illustrator, and extensive experience building tech packs.
This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with a design team to bring new collections to life.
Responsibilities :
- Report directly to the Senior Designer on all deliverables.
- Design and sketch innovative swimwear collections and styles that reflect the latest trends.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator to create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Build comprehensive tech packs, including measurements, materials, and construction details, ensuring accuracy and clarity for production.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure all designs are feasible for production and meet brand standards.
- Stay up to date on current fashion trends and integrate them into new designs.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Swimwear Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design capabilities.
- Excellent sketching skills and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator .
- Attention to detail and the ability to create precise technical drawings and tech packs for swimwear production.
- Solid understanding of textiles, garment construction, and production processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
Compensation / Benefits :
The approximate hourly rate range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00. The offered hourly rate for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
