About this Opportunity :

This is a part-time position in the Child Welfare Division, up to 25 hours a week, at least 4 times including every other Saturday .

Work shifts may vary to best meet the needs of the Foster Care Program. Work shifts may include evenings, Saturdays, and on occasion, Sundays.

The Family Support Worker is a supportive function of the Foster Care Program. The Family Support Worker facilitates family time* for families engaged in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect.

Family Time is planned parenting time and connection between a parent and their child(ren).

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School Diploma. They will have a n understanding of child development, with the ability to easily relate to children, parents, and caregivers, and to provide and maintain appropriate directions for children in a warm and understanding manner.

Lastly, they will have a valid driver's license, insurance, and use of a safe and operational vehicle during working hours.
