Role Description
The Director of Nursing (DON) for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) is responsible for overseeing the nursing services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients.
The DON will manage nursing staff, coordinate with healthcare providers, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to pediatric care.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure :
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
Experience :
Minimum of two (2) years of general pediatric nursing experience, with at least six (6) months spent caring for medically fragile infants or children in a pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, PPEC, or similar care setting within the previous five (5) years.
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in a PPEC setting is highly desirable.
Skills :
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent clinical skills in pediatric care.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements :
Must be able to travel to all centers.
