Description

Leidos is hiring a Space Policy Management Analyst in the National Capital Region (NCR). As a management analyst you will provide full-time support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC).

You will support NRMC with research, analysis, process mapping, meeting facilitation, and develop a variety of strategic documentation that assists the NRMC in developing strategic ideas, initiatives, and programs for DHS space related activities.

The tasks and activities developed will provide methodology options and policy recommendations that will inform development of presumptive DHS Space Strategy.

This includes executive-level support to the DHS Space Executive Steering Committee (ESC). Your work will take place at both Leidos facilities and the Department of Homeland Security at 4200 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA 22202 or via teleconference, at DHS's discretion.

Telework options may be available, based on client needs.

Primary Responsibilities :

Research and analyze national security laws, policies, executive orders, directives, congressional authorizations, and other applicable governing documents as they relate to space systems and space-based services and the mission of DHS, CISA, and the NRMC.

Assist in conducting fact-finding discussions with DHS components and offices to document responsibilities for space-related efforts across the Department, as outlined in national policy and DHS policy, and their relationship to wider mission, goals, and objectives.

Assist in the development of a DHS Space Strategy.

Assist in the development of a DHS Space Implementation Plan for a DHS Space Strategy.

Assist in the development of strategic documents, including a Strategy Paper that describes inter alia vision, mission, and goals for the new CIPAC body.

Assist in the development of analytical products and reports, including at least one technical White Paper on sector or cross-sector risk to space systems or space-based services.

Basic Qualifications :

A Public Trust is required.

Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years of relevant experience in a professional, academic, or public policy setting; or a Master's degree and 10 or more years of relevant experience in a professional, academic, or public policy setting.

Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Requires In-depth knowledge of Space policy.

Exhibits superior oral and written communication skills.

Possess the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and assignments with limited oversight.

Show initiative and have the ability to learn quickly.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
