NOW CFO is seeking a seasoned, operational Senior Controller to join our consulting team in the Portland area. As a Senior Controller consultant, you will play a critical role in overseeing our clients' financial and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and driving financial performance.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of GAAP, strong leadership skills, and the ability to operate in a dynamic consulting environment.
We are offering a $150k-$170k base salary depending on experience.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and coordinate all financial and accounting activities for our clients.
- Manage accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Implement and maintain accounting controls and budgets to mitigate risk and maximize returns on investments.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct internal audits to assess financial health and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Standardize and maintain accounting records and processes, adapting as needed for each client's unique needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements and financial strategies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management or a related field.
- Experience in Healthcare and Non-Profit industries is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a hands-on approach to management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively in a consulting environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
