Senior Network Engineer - Remote

Job DescriptionLegends is looking for a senior Network Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will be on a team of 3 supporting 75 different sites all over the world.

This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing local and wide area networks for organizations.

Their responsibilities include optimizing system configurations, overseeing network installations, and maintaining existing systems.

They perform network administration, security patching, and configuration changes, ensuring maximum performance and reliability.

Additionally, Network Engineers configure firewalls, routers, and switches to enhance efficiency and security, while also monitoring network resources and promptly addressing incidents.

Reporting network status and collaborating with stakeholders are essential aspects of their role. Their responsibilities include : 1.

Network Design and Implementation : o Designing and implementing new network solutions or enhancing existing ones.o Configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions.

o Assessing network requirements and ensuring efficient deployment.2. Network Administration and Support : o Monitoring network performance and uptime.

o Troubleshooting and resolving networking issues promptly.o Managing VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, and other network resources.o Handling firewall rule changes and maintaining backups.

3. Security and Patch Management : o Applying security patches, updates, and hardening measures.o Staying informed about security vulnerabilities.

o Implementing disaster recovery procedures.4. Capacity and Lifecycle Management : o Assessing network capacity and planning for growth.

o Managing the lifecycle of network equipment (upgrades, replacements).5. Collaboration and Reporting : o Collaborating with stakeholders and reporting network status.

o Working with procurement teams to acquire network equipment.o Overseeing subcontractors during installation.6. Monitoring and Troubleshooting : o Continuously monitoring network health and addressing faults.

o Investigating incidents and optimizing performance.o Updating firmware for network equipment.7. Hardware Maintenance : o Maintaining physical hardware (mainframes, routers, switches).

o Installing and configuring network equipment.8. Continuous Learning : o Staying up-to-date with security and networking best practices.

Skills and Requirements- 10+ years of relevant experience as a Network Engineer - Successful experience working at small to medium size companies where you are asked to wear many hats- Extensive experience with Palo Alto, strong ability to Support, configure and address any related network issues- Experience Administering, supporting, and configuring WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLANS, VPN, switches, and firewall systems- Installing, configuring, and supporting Meraki MX and Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches, SD-WAN (Viptela), DNS and DHCP- Experience arranging scheduled upgrades, investigating faults in the network and updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases- Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP / IP, OSPF and EIGRP- In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and printers, Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills this person will be expected to lead customer meetings and understand / gather customer requests- Go-getter mentality, someone who can identify a problem and get that solution across the finish line with minimum supervision - Experience supporting similar clients in the entertainment, sports, and hospitality domain- Any Advanced Network Certifications- Strong Experience with Cloud, Specifically Azure- Experience with Terraform (Working on using Terraform to allow Infrastructure as a Code- works with Azure DevOps- Experience with Azure DevOps- Meraki, Palo Alto (PRISMA Access)- PCI / Audit or compliance Experience nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
