Responsibilities

Provides informatics analysis and support in the use of clinical information systems as assigned. Assesses workflow, related processes and requirements to facilitate system enhancements and modifications.

Analyzes, configures, implements and supports approved system optimizations. Collaborates with management and clinicians in designing, implementing and maintaining clinical systems.

Assists in the development of design specifications in support of clinical applications related to regulatory requirements, best practices and clinician needs.

Documents, analyzes, recommends and assists with implementing system enhancements, improved processes and workflows. Adheres to change management and all other applicable policies.

Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential enhancements of the clinical application.

Participates in the formulation of new or revised policies and procedures related to the clinical application. Communicates and collaborates with internal and vendor resources as assigned.

Participates in application testing, identifies and remediates problems prior to implementation. Provides clinician training.

Follows St. John’s Riverside Hospital attendance policy. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree preferred. Electronic health record (EHR) application configuration experience required. Meditech clinical application configuration experience preferred.

Microsoft office suite mastery required
