Quantitative Research Analyst (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Clifton, NJ) : The Quantitative Research Analyst assumes a hands-on leadership role for designing, developing, and deploying code and data infrastructure in support of State Street Global Markets;
SSGM) Portfolio and Risk Research team. The individual in the position works collaboratively with senior members across both research and technology teams, gains experience with quantitative investment techniques, and participates in the research process.
- Specific duties of the position include : Designing and developing production code to support portfolio and risk research across all asset classes;
- Architecting and scaling data infrastructure to support existing and future research needs; Advancing existing codebase and proposing new solutions and improvements;
- Designing report templates and analytics for client portfolio analyses; Participating in research process to test quantitative research hypotheses with a focus on practical implementation;
- Performing back-testing of investing strategies, including sensitivity analysis and stress-testing; Developing and maintaining scalable infrastructure, including research code base for model development, centralized data systems, and monitoring tools;
and Liaising with senior stakeholders for production-level implementation. Telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum Requirements : Master's Degree in Mathematical Finance, or a related quantitative field, or its equivalent, plus 2 years’ experience as Quantitative Analyst or any occupation providing quantitative work experience.
- Must Have : Demonstrated experience with designing and developing production code to support portfolio and risk research across all asset classes;
- Ability to architect and scale data infrastructure to support existing and future research needs; Ability to advance existing codebase and propose new solutions and improvements;
- Demonstrated experience with designing report templates and analytics for client portfolio analyses; Ability to participate in research process to test quantitative research hypotheses with a focus on practical implementation;
- Demonstrated experience with performing back-testing of investing strategies, including sensitivity analysis and stress-testing;
Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining
scalable infrastructure, including research code base for model development, centralized data systems, and monitoring tools;
