Job Responsibilities :
- Plans, organizes, and conducts difficult and complex investigations related to both internal and external security issues, including but not limited to theft of telecommunication services, i.
- e., piracy, the possession, use, or sale of illegal equipment; fraud, identity theft, credit card fraud, avoidance of payment;
damage to property and assaults against Cox employees. Testifies in court or administrative hearings as required.
- Analyzes and evaluates investigative progress to assess priorities, leads, and predetermines goals and objectives. Participates in the identification of resources to support investigations.
- Establishes connections between suspects and other violators by linking evidence uncovered from various sources.
- Develop investigative strategy, interview employees and vendors, obtain admissions, and document investigation with evidence to facilitate criminal and / or civil procedures.
- Collaborates with all company stakeholders, including but not limited to Human Resources, legal, operations, etc.
- Maintains a liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in order to achieve maximum results and business support.
- Prepares clear, comprehensive, and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data in a timely manner.
- Testifies in courts and administrative hearings on investigation results.
- Participates in and / or responds to actual business crises, interruptions, or disasters.
- Reviews and analyzes functional business operations businesses and associated processes to identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in order to recommend strategies for prevention, mitigation, and recovery.
- Develops and presents training programs for employees, contractors, and temporary employees on a plethora of security-related topics, including but not limited to personal security, robbery, information security, due diligence, workplace violence, building access control, etc.
- Utilizes Cox's I-Sight Reporting System to track all cases.
- Maintains an ethical standard beyond reproach and adopts a sense of personal responsibility for investigative duties.
- Builds and maintains positive liaisons with both internal Cox Communications departments and governmental agencies.
- Attends risk management conferences and meetings appropriate for this position.
- Maintains relationships with peers across CEI Security.
Job Requirements Experience / Education / Training :
Required :
- 5 or more years of experience required in a related field (i.e., Fraud, Theft, Security, Business, etc.)
- 3 or more years of experience required if the candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
- Proficient interviewing and interrogation techniques to conduct independent, thorough investigations in the areas of theft, fraud, violent acts, vandalism, etc.
to obtain factual information.
- Requires strong knowledge of CCTV, alarms, and use of covert equipment, MS Office applications, i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization and external contacts.
- This position requires leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred :
- A bachelor’s degree in an area of study relevant to this position and at least 10 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public, or private sector security organization.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, attorneys, judges, and federal, state, and local enforcement authorities.
Corporate Security experience is a plus.
- Security Clearance eligible.
- Experience in incident management and business continuity preferred.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry desired.
- Certification or accreditation from a Risk or Security Management Association or governing body.
