We are offering an opportunity for a VP / Director of Finance, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves leading financial operations, analyzing financial performance, and influencing the growth and strategic planning of the segment.
The successful candidate will work closely with segment leadership, develop finance team members, and support the segment in policy making and decisions aimed at increasing sales, enhancing productivity, and reducing costs.

Responsibilities :
- Accumulate, analyze, and report on the financial and operational performance of the segment to provide reliable insights.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to understand and explain segment drivers, including analyzing revenues and expenses, and presenting results and recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute actively to segment growth, direction, and strategic planning, including the development and evaluation of business cases for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with segment leadership to develop and approve the financial portion of commercial proposals, including developing anticipated costs, profit margins, and cash flows.
- Support the segment in policy making and decisions aimed at increasing sales, enhancing productivity, and reducing cost.
- Develop finance team members by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, providing both informal and formal feedback for employee development.
- Prepare and present monthly forecasts for Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Compile monthly Operating Report in support of quarter-over-quarter, year-over-year, and budget-to-actual analysis.
- Lead in a manner that supports the values of velocity, teamwork, and integrity.
- Support external and internal audits to ensure financial compliance and transparency.
Skills :
- Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, CRM
- Experience in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Annual Budget, Auditing, Budget Processes
Note : This role does not require any specific duration of employment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- International finance experience is a plus.
- Minimum five years of successful leadership and management experience required.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to motivate and enlist cooperation within the organization.
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must possess excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- Experience in Government Accounting standards and regulations is preferred.
- Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
- This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
