We are looking for candidates experienced with testing high voltage power distribution / power regulation components
Day to day overview : you’ll be developing avionics components for a lunar lander vehicle,
components of electrical systems, regulators, etc. As well as providing surge support for test facilities, updating test plans, scripts, executing tests on the component level, thermal vac, shock / vibe
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts to perform shock, vibration, thermal, humidity and vacuum testing on high and low voltage flight hardware.
- Conduct verification testing that includes power-on, functional, acceptance and qualification and document test results for the high and low voltage distribution, power regulation and conversion hardware.
- Support the integration of vehicle hardware and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
- Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.
- Participate in design and system reviews to provide feedback on integration and testability throughout all phases of the project.
- Participate in program level technology development, mission assurance and safety initiatives, and development process improvements.
- Effectively communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.
Minimum Qualifications :
- B.S. in electrical engineering or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- A breadth of understanding in electronics hardware development such as testing high voltage switching, high voltage and power regulation, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace products
- Experience with analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, test, troubleshooting, and part selection
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles
- Experience developing special electronic test equipment and troubleshooting equipment
- Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment
- Experience with programming in C++ and / or Python
- NI Labview / TestStand experience
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.
S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications :
- M.S. degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with the development and execution of a large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems
- Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems
- Electrical Design and Analysis tools : LTSpice, PSpice, SIMetrix / SIMPLIS, Simscape
