Summary :
The Occupational Therapist utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate / assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.
Responsibilities :
- Utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.
- Communicates effectively with patient, family members, and team members as needed.
- Performs appropriate and necessary documentation and patient / family education.
- Supervises COTA / L, volunteer, or student per OT regulations.
- Other duties as required.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Certification : Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure is required.
- Years of relevant experience : 3 to 5 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising : None.
