Job Title : Oracle Administrator(US Citizen Only)
Location : Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Monitor and tune Oracle databases for optimal performance, including query optimization and resource management.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and fixes to Oracle database environments while minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities.
- Manage database security, including user access control, encryption, and auditing.
- Automate database administration tasks using scripts (e.g., shell, Perl, or Python).
- Perform routine database maintenance, such as space management, cleanup, and archiving.
- Assist development teams with database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure databases are aligned with project and operational requirements.
- Maintain documentation of database architecture, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay current with Oracle database technologies and recommend improvements or updates to existing systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24 / 7 support for critical database systems.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) managing Oracle 11g, 12c, or 19c environments.
- Strong expertise in database installation, configuration, patching, backup, and recovery.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, replication, clustering, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and other high-availability solutions.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, PL / SQL, and database scripts.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, Nagios, or similar) for performance tracking and alerting.
- Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and managing databases in a cloud environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle security practices, including data encryption and auditing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote team environment.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
