The starting faculty salary range for 2023-24 is $62,299 $71,490 for a 1.0 FTE, 168-day schedule. The college is currently in negotiations for the Full-time faculty collective bargaining agreement.
Following ratification of the agreement, the salary schedule for the 2024 / 2025 academic year may be adjusted.
New faculty will be contracted for 168-day contract plus additional 3 days to attend Fall Term Instructional Strategies Institute training.

Position Title : Automotive Technology Faculty Employment Requirement Not Applicable Division / Department : ATTC Location Advanced Transportation Technology Center, Lebanon, OR Job Summary : Teach classes in automotive technology.
Specific teaching assignments will depend upon the needs of the College and specific skills of the selected candidate. Program courses cover all automotive systems, including electrical, fuel, engines, power train, steering, suspension, braking and comfort, and Electric Vehicle Technician.
Required Qualifications : Associate degree in Automotive and / or Diesel repair or a closely related field, plus a minimum of four years’ full-time experience in Automotive and / or Diesel repair.
Experience must include diagnostics and repairs in suspension, steering, brakes, drive train, electrical / electronic systems, and hydraulic systems.
Also requires ASE certification in drive train, automotive engines, suspension and steering, brakes, and electrical / electronic systems.
Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications : High-Voltage vehicle systems knowledge preferred including Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles.
Bachelor’s degree in related area and ASE Master Certification in Automotive Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Learned physical required to operate equipment and tools.
Changes in performance environment require occasional upgrading of skills. Sustained walking and standing on concrete floor during lab sessions is required.
Duties require frequent bending, standing, kneeling, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and students one-on-one, over the phone, and in classroom / labsettings.
Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and operate lab equipment. Essential Duties : 1. Teach automotive technology classes.
2. Maintain office hours.3. Establish and maintain working liaison with local and regional automotive repair industry.4. Participate in student recruitment and advising.
5. Maintain shop space and equipment.6. Work with Hybrid / Electric Vehicles to meet new program needs.7. Ensure safety of students and security of the Advanced Transportation & Technology Center.
8. Perform other professional duties as needed.9. Model the employability skills that industry partners expect from LBCC graduates.
