KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Hypercraft Calibration Technician, you will be the frontline of helping customers integrate, debug, and calibrate our EV Drivetrain Products.
You will have the technical aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with mechanical, electrical, battery or software settings.
- Work professionally with Hypercraft customers or other end-users.
- Communicate with the customers or other end-users clearly.
- Perform calibration of Hypercraft systems to achieve customer’s goals
- Report data back to engineering on improvements made to each system.
- Maintain proper documentation, storage, and updates for production level calibration work.
- Support Hypercraft customers and end-users in automotive, marine, or aerospace environments.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 3+ years of related experience
- Associates degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Systems (or hands on technician experience that brings you to the equivalent level of expertise)
- EV Experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of torque production in automotive systems and how calibrations can change a systems behavior.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving in unstructured situations at the interface of hardware, electrical, software, and connectivity in automotive type systems.
- Understanding of automotive subsystems like water cooling systems, HVAC, braking systems, CAN Communication.
- Comfortable working in automotive type systems in a wide variety of markets (automotive, marine, aerospace, commercial vehicle)
- Strong aptitude with tools and electronics
- Willingness to travel and interface with customers
COMPENSATION
- This position requires on-site work from our Provo, UT office.
- This is a full-time salaried position with benefits commensurate with experience.
- 40+ hours per week with the potential for up to 70% travel.
- Pay range : $60,000 to $80,000 DOE.
