EPC Safety Specialist at Kiewit in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Requisition ID : 171353 Job Level : Entry Level Home District / Group : Cherne District Department : Safety Market : Industrial Employment Type : Full Time Position Overview At Kiewit, one of our guiding principles on every projects and in every office is, 'Nobody Gets Hurt' and we're currently looking for a Safety Specialist who will create, support and audit our programs which reinforce our commitment to safety.

As a Safety Specialist, you will report to Project Safety Manager. Your primary responsibilities centers on the successful implementation and support of the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field.

You will assist the Project Safety Manager with the application of the contract, client safety expectations, Kiewit Corporate Safety Manual, Corporate Crane Procedures Manual, District Standards, and all laws governing the work.

You will also verify to ensure that work is being executed as planned, problem-solve with operations and craft, assist with corrective measures, and provide resources to correct and maintain solutions.

District Overview Cherne Contracting is one of Kiewit's oldest districts. Founded in 1916. Cherne is a valuable part of Kiewit and is well known for safety and quality of execution in amazing projects within the oil, gas and chemical sectors.

This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs. Responsibilities - Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing district Safety Programs at project sites.

Implementation would include ensuring all Staff and Craft have a clear understanding of programs. Manage programs on a go forward basis addressing areas of improvement and feedback received.

  • Understand and be able to explain facts and information related to Kiewit's Safety Program, Policies and Site-Specific Safety Plans.
