The Assistant Clinic Director will support in the opening of a new Ellie clinic in New Haven / North Haven / Hamden / Cheshire area.
AD is responsible for supporting the Clinic Director in the oversight of performance and operations of the clinic. This role supports the Clinic Director and clinic staff, assists with staffing needs, supports hiring, provides resource support, performs administrative oversight and leads outreach activities in the local community.
During build-out of new site, AD will train a few days a week in Glastonbury, CT with CD.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Supervision and Consultation
- Participate in the weekly Clinic Director meeting
- Lead clinical weekly staff meeting
- Provide 1 : 1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation
Administrative
- Monitor, maintain / improve clinic capacity and patterns with focus on productivity of the clinic staff
- Support clinic staff development through supervisions and staff meetings
- Partner with CD to support administrative changes as needed
- Coordinate with CD to support the hiring process, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Work with CD to maintain healthy patient bill balances
- Coordinate office supply orders with Clinic Director
Clinic Oversight
- Assist CD with monitoring and managing clinic office schedules
- Provide timely response to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders
- Check clinic performance data weekly and assist CD with identifying opportunities to improve clinic functioning and quality of client care
- Maintain agreed upon clinical client caseload
- Serve as back-up for CD when they are out of the office
- Additional duties as assigned
Community Outreach and Marketing
Lead outreach and marketing to develop Ellie brand in the local community
Support caseload build for clinic staff by providing guidance, coaching and local community outreach
Required Skills / Abilities
- Master’s Degree or higher education in mental health discipline
- Independently licensed with a CT -issued clinical practice license (e.g., LISCW, LMFT, LPCC, LP)
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets
- Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications
- Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems
- Credentialed and contracted with major Insurance payors (preferrable)
