Developmental Brain Injury Services (DBIS).
Fulltime Position.
Position Summary :
Our team provides clinical support to adults with developmental disabilities and / or brain injuries and to their care and support teams across a variety of settings including residential group homes, shared living, outreach, and some day programing.
We serve a population with a wide range of developmental, mental health, and medical needs who range from mildly to severely disabled.
We work cohesively with our nursing and administrative teams to be able to provide well-rounded supports to enhance and maximize the quality of our individuals lives.
Position Responsibilities :
- Reports to the Vice President, or Head of Operations on his / her behalf.
- Provides administrative and clinical oversight to the DBIS Clinical Department.
- Provides clinical consultation and supervision to senior clinicals and other clinical roles / positions as needed.
- Provides consultation and assistance in times of client crises and with high profile cases.
- Ensures positive collateral relationships, internally and externally.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere and models professional and effective communication in all interactions, internally and externally.
- Acts as team player by building, maintaining, and supporting the clinical team with integrity and clear demonstration of ServiceNet’s missions and goals.
- Provide clinical input on referrals, vacancies, and utilization as well as assessment for ability to serve on clinically challenging referrals.
- Leads and manages the internal risk program and department clinical meetings.
- Attends and participates in Senior Leadership Meetings and collaborates with the Head of Operations and Director of Nursing to assess, develop and implement plans for the operations infrastructure of department systems and process.
- Oversees / Contributes / facilitate / leads program, department and / or division development and initiatives.
- Acts as the Liaison to the ServiceNet outpatient clinic.
- Oversees clinical department quality assurance and DDS regulations / licensing compliance.
- Other duties as requested by the Vice President, or Head of Operations on his / her behalf.
Qualifications :
- Must be currently licensed in Massachusetts in accordance with applicable law as one of the following :
- psychologist; independent clinical social worker (LICSW); applied behavior analyst (BCBA); master’s or doctorate level teacher with a certification in special education;
a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC); doctorate level special education teacher actively teaching the topics of positive behavior support or applied behavior analysis at the college or university level.
- Have at least three years of training, including post graduate class work or formal training, and / or experience in function-based behavioral assessment and treatment.
- Have training in PBS, organizational strategies, and multi-tiered systems of support.
- Have at least five years of training, including post-graduate class work or formal training, and / or experience in function-based behavioral assessment and treatment.
- Have at least five years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities and / or mental health.
- Have at least 10 years of demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience in a related field, 5 of which must be in a non-profit setting and working under state contracts (DDS / DMH / DCF / MRC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Electronic Health Records.
