Manufacturing Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

In 2018 we moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility on 51st Street that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as the undisputed leaders in our industry.

As a result of continued growth, we are seeking an experienced pipe fitter to join our team. Responsibilities : Study and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems.

Select, measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications using various tools and equipment. Assemble and install piping systems according to design specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.

Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and functionality of the piping system. Identify and rectify any issues or leaks.

Work closely with other construction professionals, such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians, to ensure the integration of piping systems with other building components.

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to determine the appropriate corrective actions.

Adhere to safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including as-built drawings, material lists, and equipment specifications. Qualifications : Proven experience as a pipe fitter, with a strong understanding of piping systems and construction practices.

Welding is preferred Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints. Knowledge of various pipe materials and their applications.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Physical strength and stamina for lifting and working in various conditions.
