The Quality Lab Technician performs tests of incoming raw materials and in-process testing for the manufacturing operation of Malarkey Roofing Products.
This position also conducts quality audits to assist in plant trials. Perform chemical and physical property tests under supervision .
Perform data entry on multiple platforms (SQC, Access, Excel). Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment and could include walking and climbing stairs / ladders.
Must be able to safely work with hot materials (temperatures above 400F). Work involves lifting of materials and products up to 65 pounds.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
AS / BS Degree in a scientific or technical field; or HS Diploma / GED with previous manufacturing experience of two years.
Previous experience as a Quality Technician or Process Technician strongly preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills working within a diverse population.
