What a typical day as a Purchasing Coordinator might look like :

Responsibilities :

l Record material information, including weight, color, size, and other relevant details

l Connect and communicate with vendors to obtain raw material specifications

l Create internal specification documents for raw materials

l Route documents for approval to cross-functional groups

l Scan and upload documentation into quality data systems

l Ensure accuracy and completeness of recorded information

l Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data

l Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues

l Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards

l Provide regular updates on progress and challenges to project stakeholder

Qualifications :

l Strong proficiency in Excel for data entry and analysis

l Familiarity with document management systems, preferably Master Control (preferred, but not required)

l Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

l Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of material information

l Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and cross-functional teams

l Ability to work independently and as part of a team

l Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

l Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic

l Experience Preferred :

l Proficiency in using Excel for data entry and analysis

l Knowledge of document management systems, preferably Master Control

l Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

l Meticulous attention to detail for accurate documentation

l Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams

l Education and Experience :

l High school diploma or equivalent (required)

l Relevant experience in a similar role or field (preferred)
