Job Overview
This is a union position.
You will be working in a women and children's long term residential program. Because this a an overnight position , the pace will be much slower than it is in the daytime.
The person that is hired for this position must be able to stay awake all night and complete assigned duties whiles ensuring the safety of the program.
Everyone in the program is on State parole so the safety aspect of the position is critical at the facility.
Your primary duties will be hourly safety checks, filing and logging incoming medications. You will be updating medication sheets, and tracking client movement.
You will be updating and copying program forms for each day. You will be archiving client documents and providing a nightly readout to the staff on you completed tasks each morning.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety of the program.
- Hourly safety checks for each room.
- Log all incoming medications.
- Updating and and copying clinical forms used by the program each day.
- Completing all assigned trainings.
- Provide daily reports on overnight activity.
- Work holidays and weekends as scheduled.
- Perform crisis intervention if necessary.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience working with criminal justice population
- Must be able to pass CDCR background clearance
- Must have good decision making and problem solving skills
- Must be able to stay awake throughout assigned shift
- Must have good computer skills
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to follow all Agency PnP guidelines
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be reliable and able to work without supervision
