Responsibilities : Asset Protection
Asset Protection
- Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
- Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threats
- Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
- Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
- Taking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effective
- Conducting surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelines
- Monitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviews
- Maintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standards
- Developing and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipment
- Assisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor
- Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls
Safety
- Help mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customers
- Welcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the stores
- Issue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping carts
- Examine and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearms
- Watch facilities and parking areas on foot. Direct traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic, while enforcing parking regulations
- Make regularly scheduled floor and exterior walks to ensure the safety and security of the customers and facility
- Complete monthly reports on safe or non-safe practices found on the sales floor or backstocks
First Responder
- Help customers and staff with vehicle break-downs and lock-outs and retrieve shopping carts from parking areas
- React as necessary and assist in handling any situations shoplifting, medical emergencies, and inclement weather
- Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation :
Earn $ per hour plus GREAT Associate Discount on all in store purchases.
Schedule :
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between and , Monday through Saturday and and , Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month.
Average hours per week is 40 hours.

Education & Experience :
- High School Diploma / GED College graduate preferred
- Proven track record of strong communication and organization skills
- Preference for candidates with prior Loss prevention (2-3 years)
- Currently certified or willing to become certified in CPR and OC (Oleoresin Capsicum aka pepper spray) foam deployment
Schedule
Ability to work nights, weekends, and / or early morning hours based on business needs.
Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements :
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push / pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
