Job Summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a Customer Service Manager based at our site in Birmingham, Alabama. This position will be responsible for maintaining and growing the existing customer base by providing fast, right, cost-efficient, and hassle-free customer service.

This position will also provide knowledge and ongoing support to CSRs by maintaining the expert SAP user role for the Customer Service Department.

The Customer Service Manager has management responsibillities for personnel and daily activities for the Birmingham, Alabama (Glasforms) Customer Service Group.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership for a team of direct reports. This includes performance evaluations, management of personnel related issues, implementation of performance plans, coordination of personnel changes, mentoring and coaching.
  • Provide knowledge and provide SAP support to CSRs across the Advanced Composites platform.
  • Responsible for setting and achieving goals for the group and its individuals with support from Supply Chain Manager and other functions.
  • Responsible to drive continuous improvement for the group, as well as for the order fulfillment process.
  • Maintain and grow accounts dedicated to Inside Sales Accounts.
  • Provide proactive communication and prospecting to target markets within specified product lines.
  • Direct interface with leadership and overall Avient businesses.
  • Close working relationship with Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Customer Service Department.
  • Schedule and lead training sessions as needed.
  • Certify CSRs in their performance of SAP processes.
  • Other duties as assigned. #LI-CB1

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must have expert proficiency in SAP.
  • 5-7 years' experience in Customer Service, Order and Account Management.
  • At least 5 years' experience in managing direct reports.

  • Must have ability to lead others, drive engagement, and ensure accountability.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Must be able to lead and train others.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have competent PC computer skills, e.g. Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to effecively communicate one-on-one, in group settings, and across the organization.
