POSITION SUMMARY

TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice is seeking an Air Quality Compliance Specialist to report to our Waltham, Massachusetts office and support the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of our air quality regulatory compliance service offerings to support quality and strategic growth.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about their work, driven by intellectual curiosity, and strive to work collaboratively to best serve our clients.

The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated self-starter with interest in growing our air qualityregulatory compliance services throughout Massachusetts and the southern New England area.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

  • Participate in and lead a variety of air quality permitting and compliance projects
  • Attend business development meetings and prepare written proposals and cost estimates
  • Prepare air permit applications and air emissions compliance reports
  • Coordinate work tasks and direct and support other technical staff
  • Interact with clients, stakeholders and contractors
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, and schedules
  • Assist with strategic business planning initiatives
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or similar focus and 3-6 years of relevant post-degree experience
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply MA state and federal air pollution control regulations
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules
  • Ability to manage teams and coordinate the work of other team members
  • Proficiency with standard office productivity software (., Microsoft Word, Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Familiarity with Title V permitting and renewals is highly desirable
  • Experience with greenhouse gas reporting protocols is highly desirable
  • Air permitting experience in NY, RI, and / or CT is highly desirable
  • Prior experience conducting noise assessments is highly desirable
  • Experience conducting environmental justice assessments and / or preparing Public Participation Plans is highly desirable
  • Experience with OCS Air Permitting and / or General Conformity Determinations is highly desirable
  • Previous project or staff management experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to support the team with the generation of new business development opportunities, preparing winning proposals, and client relationship management is highly desirable

Compensation : Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation : Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
