Responsibilities
The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors / remote telemetry and provides RNs and / or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
- One (1) or more years of experience working as a Monitor Technician
- Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework with a passing score.
PREFERRED
CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification through CCI.
