Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

The Manager, Marketing is responsible for ensuring the college's website, social media presence, and digital marketing campaigns are visually compelling, engaging, and effective with target audiences.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in a wide range of digital areas including writing for the web, design, SEO, Google Analytics, digital marketing strategy, social media, and content marketing.

  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
  • Leads an evolving team of creative specialists to create, manage, and coordinate content for marketing campaigns, social media channels, and the Web
  • Collaborates with Academic & Workforce Success to develop and optimize an integrated marketing enrollment strategy
  • Provides creative / art direction in collaboration with the Director of Marketing for external facing marketing materials including the supervision of the associated publications for Academic and Workforce Success
  • Partner with campus marketing teams to strategize projects for quality and efficiency
  • Experiment and test new creative to effectively reach a revolving audience that is consistently quick to adopt new technology
  • Use data-driven personas to optimize UX and steer graphic design toward customer experience
  • Researches and applies new trends to enhance the user experience and increase engagement on all communication platforms including the usage of iStar-related tools to enhance program awareness of new or expanded degrees and certificates across the system
  • Analyze data with Marketing Director to make informed digital marketing decisions, and create dashboards that highlight key data, trends, and opportunities
  • Works collaboratively across the System to build a content calendar and messaging matrix, and implement storytelling strategies on the Web and social media
  • Collaborates with Marketing Director to Writes, edits, and publishes engaging and audience-focused content for the workforce programs using college s website and social media platforms
  • Develops campaign coverage for college events for Academic and Workforce Success
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
  • Experience in and knowledge of analytic tools (Google Analytics, etc.), Google Adwords, and social media publishing, reporting, and monitoring
  • Experience with website usability, responsive (mobile), email engagement, and social media strategy
  • Possess graphic design skill set
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a student-centered, team-oriented environment
  • Strong writing, editing, project management, and communication skills
  • Must be able to work, perform with deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

PHYSICAL ABILITIES :

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing;

bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience in Content Management Systems

Salary

Hiring salary range is $63,014 to $72,446.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.

Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
