We are providing an opportunity for a long-term contract role as a Payroll Specialist in Hamilton, Ohio. This role is primarily on-site and will involve a variety of payroll-related functions in our corporate office.
The successful candidate will be immersed in a dynamic environment, where they will handle a multitude of tasks, including training, internal auditing, and payroll processing.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Process payroll and manage the auditing of benefits
- Address and resolve payroll tax issues as they arise
- Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate records of payroll and benefit functions
- Handle scanning and filing tasks related to payroll and benefits
- Assist in open enrollment processes and manage related administrative tasks
- Utilize auditing skills to ensure accuracy of payroll and benefit functions
- Handle multi-state payroll functions and ensure compliance with state-specific regulations
- Operate HRIS Payroll System to process payroll and maintain records
- Monitor employee accounts and take appropriate actions as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist
- Proficient in auditing and benefit functions
- Capable of handling open enrollment procedures
- Proficient in using HRIS Database and HRIS Payroll System
- Experience in multi-state payroll processing
- Excellent audit skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
