LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Dispatching / Logistics Clerk in Rosemount, Apple Valley, Minneapolis and surrounding areas for MULTIPLE openings.

Type : Direct Hire / Permanent
Location : Rosemount, Apple Valley, Minneapolis and surrounding areas
Compensation : $55,000 to $65,000 (flexible upon experience)
Job Description :
- Organize and allocate LTL transportation vehicles according to customer requests, delivery timelines, and optimal routing.
- Collaborate with drivers to guarantee prompt deliveries and collections.
- Strategize and refine delivery routes to reduce expenses and enhance efficiency.
- Track and monitor vehicle positions and statuses using various tracking technologies.
- Modify schedules and routes based on traffic, weather, and other influencing factors.
- Ensure transparent and consistent communication with drivers, customers, and other parties involved.
- Provide drivers with comprehensive instructions regarding delivery sites, safety measures, and any special requirements.
- Keep precise records of deliveries and other pertinent information.
- Generate and submit regular reports on delivery performance and other essential metrics.
- Ensure that all transportation operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
- Perform routine safety inspections and audits of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide training and support to drivers regarding safety procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of product amounts and delivery confirmations.
- Swiftly identify and address transportation issues, such as vehicle failures, delays, or changes in routes.
- Implement backup plans to manage unforeseen disruptions in the delivery schedule.
- Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to synchronize delivery schedules with business requirements.
- Work with maintenance teams to guarantee that vehicles are regularly serviced and kept in optimal condition.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge in MS Excel preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
