Responsibilities :
- Engage in ongoing communication and consultation withadministration staff and parents.
- Evaluate thestudents relevant academic cognitive behavioral and mental healthfunctioning as part of a comprehensive evaluation.
- Participate in building level crisis teams to activelysupport students in behavioral crisis.
- Supportin the coordination and facilitation of building level studentservice meetings as it relates to special educationreferrals.
- Schedule and facilitate domainmeetings complete referral forms and related domain paperworkmonitor the completion of the case study evaluation components andschedule and facilitate eligibility review meetings.
- Monitor completion of case study evaluations(reevaluations) within the building and participate in IEPconferences.
- Collaborate with theproblemsolving team / IEP team to conduct Functional BehaviorAssessments (FBAs) and develop / monitor Behavioral InterventionPlans (BIPs).
- Integrate psychological servicesinto the classroom environment as appropriate.
- Collaborate with IEP teams in the design andimplementation of appropriate support accommodations forstudents.
- Provide support services toparents / guardians as needed.
- Observe studentsin the instructional environment to help identify appropriatestrategies and supports identify barriers to accommodations andcollect data.
- Work with team members andservice providers to set realistic goals design appropriateinstructional strategies and progress monitoring procedures andperiodically evaluate student progress for those receiving specialeducation services.
- Maintain accurate completeand correct records as required by law district policy andadministrative regulations.
- Proficiently usetechnology to communicate produce comprehensive individualizedreports and collect data.
- Participate indistrict and building level inservice workshops staff meetingsproblemsolving and PLCs.
Qualifications :
- Professional Educator License with an endorsement as aSchool Psychologist registered in Region 6.
- Experience preferred working with elementary and middleschool students in grades kindergarten through 8th.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively withteachers administrators and parents and serve on amultidisciplinary team.
- Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills.
