Summary :

The Application System Analyst Senior serves as a liaisonbetween system end-users (customers), operational leaders,additional support resources and vendors to design, build andoptimize their assigned applications in a timely and high-qualitymanner.

The Systems Analyst Senior will provide application supportand optimization. They work closely with the Service Desk to assistin responding to service requests.

The Application System AnalystSenior must be able to analyze business issues / requirements andworkflows and apply their application knowledge to meet operationaland organizational needs.

Project implementation responsibilitiesinclude collaborating with customers contributing to the analysis,testing, and documentation and implementation of medium to highcomplexity activities of assigned software.

This position mustpossess sufficient detailed healthcare knowledge and systemsexpertise to implement medium to high complexity assignedapplication with minimal guidance.

The Associate must be aself-motivated individual with exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teamenvironments.

  • Analyze, develop, test, document, educate,implement, support, and maintain or optimize assigned applications,solutions and business processes to meet operational and technicalrequirements.
  • Independently provides guidanceand leadership on quality assurance and testing initiatives.Demonstrates ability to lead team through complex integratedtesting processes.

Able to manage testing projects asnecessary.

Demonstrates an advanced level ofapplication understanding, and applies expertise to help meetcustomer goals and outcomes.

Tackles new problems usingexperimentation, including successes and failure experiences.Creative problem solving beyond standard recommendations andpractice.

Applies advanced level understandingof assigned clinical / business operations, processes, and workflows.Discusses, and identifies dependencies with project team membersand stakeholders.

Maintains collaborative customer relationships;Ensures the needs of the customer are fully represented in allupdates. Provides clear and organized status reporting on keyproject areas to be used as external communications tostakeholders.

Coordinates team members to gather information andprepare organized, consistent, and accurate statusreporting.

Leads and evaluates process andrequirements analysis, including process mapping though currentflow charts, documents, future needs / plans, requirementelicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering oncomplex projects / requests.

Responsible for completing gap analysis,and providing cross applicationrecommendations.

  • Possesses the skill todevelop strong and positive relationships with client management atall levels. Is respected by the client as an expert and end usersdemonstrate confidence in the individual.

  • Collaborate and develop strongrelationships with end user communities, customers and businesspartners.
  • Collaborate with Operational Leadersto focus on standardized best practice workflow processes andcontent to ensure alignment across all ministries, to createefficiencies, and to ensure optimal operationalprocesses.
  • Coordinates code changes withappropriate vendor related to financial and business applicationissues.
  • Collaborates with Technical Team toidentify and infrastructure related issues that have resulted inapplication issues.
  • Share industry bestpractices from vendors with OperationalLeaders.
  • Demonstrates increasing technicalknowledge of the assigned application including relationships ofinfrastructure and impact to user ifunavailable.
  • Serves as a liaison betweenbusiness operations and providers, internal information technology,system users and vendors working within the defined projectobjectives for issue and problem resolution.
  • Follows strict change management processes ensuring properapproval, testing, and validation of systemchanges.
  • Reviews and provides feedback ondocumentation written by others. Articulates issues and complexconcepts in appropriate manner based on theaudience.
  • Associate continuously reviews,adjusts, and grows his / her skills, habits, work ethic, andbehaviors to ensure positive peer interactions and a positive andinteractive team atmosphere.

Associate exhibits constant efforts toimprove and maintain healthy and positive interpersonal and teaminteractions.

  • Proactively and independentlytroubleshoot and resolve moderate incidents and requests withoutdirection.

  • Independently manages medium to large scale and complexprojects / requests. Collaborates with team members asneeded.
  • Complete in a timely manner assignedcourses within Healthstream, other electronic tracking tools foreducational related material or attend presentations in person asassigned.
  • Ensure the services that he / sheprovides contribute to the successful accomplishment of the primarymission of the department.
  • Leads andcoordinates across applications for high impact vendor changes.
  • May be required to travel to performduties.
  • May be required to work long hoursduring critical problems and on-call rotation.
  • Assist in preparation and conducting of continuing formal orinformal training session for users andco-workers.
  • Is exceptional at spotting andseizing opportunities. Proactively plans projects and tasks withinapplication.
  • Performs other duties asassigned.

Requirements :

  • Associates orBachelor’s degree preferred with a focus in healthcare, business,or information systems. Ability to present complex data inmeaningful method, i. e., charts,graphs

  • 5+ yearswithin healthcare, business, or information systems

  • Develops new functionality forrequests with little to no direction and leads multidisciplinaryteams throughout project.
  • Regularly serves asmentor or knowledge resource to peers across community
  • Works in a team setting, sharing informationand assisting other junior level team members
  • Possesses detailed healthcare knowledge andsystems expertise
  • Excellent project managementand communication skills, both verbal andwritten
  • Associated certifications on area offocus, preferred
