The following tasks will be performed by the Design Engineer :
Perform civil design calculations and prepare construction plans, exhibits, reports and other
documents.
- Attend design meetings and interact with other consultants, reviewing agencies and Clients.
- Meet with Team Leads and / or Project Managers to review project development and assess
any issues.
- Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and / or Project Managers.
- Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and
other factors in planning the stages of, and risk analysis for a project.
Compile and submit permit applications to local and state agencies, verifying that projects
comply with various regulations, as well as company design standards.
- Provide construction cost estimates.
- Use AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and other design software to plan and design projects to be in line
with industry and government standards.
Use of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Applicant should expect a competency skills test on items such as AutoCad, land development
applications, and report writing.
